A love for jewellery, a love for creating.

My fascination with jewellery began long before Studio Kahtea. From a young age I was drawn to the stories behind the pieces we wear, especially rings. I started collecting silver rings on my travels, and in Bali I found myself in local workshops, watching raw metal become something meaningful.

It runs in my family, too. My grandmother collected rings, and in many ways she handed that passion down to me. To me, jewellery is more than something to wear. A piece can hold a memory, mark a moment, or simply feel like you.

My background is in interior design, where I spent years thinking about how considered design shapes the things around us. That instinct eventually led me to jewellery making, which started as a hobby and slowly grew into something more.

I’m especially drawn to lost-wax casting. A design is carved in wax first, then cast in metal, so a simple idea becomes something you can hold, shaped by my own hands.

Studio Kahtea grew from that. Since becoming a mum, making jewellery has also become a little pocket of time just for me, a chance to slow down, experiment and reconnect with my creativity, often during nap times.

Today, Studio Kahtea reflects everything I care about: jewellery with a story, thoughtful design, and the belief that what we wear should feel personal.

Designed to be worn. Made to be yours.

With love,
Kahtea
